Approaches
Child safety
Last updated 1 October 2026
Approaches (approaches.cloud) is run by 5000 approaches, based in Norway. This page is our published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how to tell us about a concern.
Adults only
Approaches is for adults, 18 and over. Nobody under 18 may have an account. If we find an account that belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It is forbidden in every part of the app: posts, comments, messages, photos, voice memos and profiles.
How to report a concern
- In the app, use the Report option (the ⋯ menu) on any post, comment or message in a circle, pick the reason that fits, or “Something else” and add a short note. The admin sees every report. You can also block a member from a message.
- Or email support@5000approaches.io. This is the way to report anything else, such as a profile or a photo you can’t report in the app.
- If a child is in danger, contact the local police first.
What we do
When we find or are told about it, we remove the content and ban the account. We keep the evidence for as long as the law requires, and we report it to the police and to other authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), where the law requires it.
