Terms of Service

Approaches is run by 5000 approaches, based in Norway, and is available worldwide. Approaches is for adults (18+). Sign in with a Google account or an email address. Keep your account safe.

The tracker, the social side, shareable cards and exporting your own data are free, and we intend to keep them free.

Some extras are paid, and AI features run on prepaid AI credit: every member gets free credit to start, then tops up any amount from $5, paid once — no subscription. The price is the one shown in the app when you buy.

We may change the price of paid plans, or the AI usage, for all members, including current ones. You get at least 30 days’ notice, by email and in the app. A plan’s new price starts at your next renewal, never mid-period. AI credit you bought before a price change is used at the old rate. You can cancel before a change starts, and nothing you’ve already paid for changes.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund a period that has started. AI credit is paid once and never renews, so there’s nothing to cancel. Unused AI credit isn’t refunded.

Deleting your account removes your data and cancels any paid subscription.

If you’re a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because these are digital services that start right away, at checkout you’ll be asked to confirm you want us to start now and that this affects your right to withdraw. If you then withdraw within 14 days, you pay only for the part of a subscription you used, and AI usage already spent can’t be returned. Nothing here removes your rights under EU/EEA consumer law.

Your data and everything you post are yours. You let us store and process it only to run the app for you — including AI features and sharing. Your entries are shared with your friends and with all members of the app, unless you turn sharing off in Settings. You can delete your content at any time.

You’re responsible for what you post: it must be lawful and yours to share. We host it; we don’t review it first or endorse it. If something breaks these terms, or you want any entry removed, email support@5000approaches.io and we’ll look at it. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

The app, its design, code, words and name belong to 5000 approaches. You’re welcome to use the app, but please don’t copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer it, or use our content to build a copy of it.

Use the app for your own progress. Nothing unlawful, no harassment, and nothing you have no right to share. Treat other members with respect, in your circle and everywhere else. Don’t record anyone without asking, and follow the recording laws where you are. You can block any member at any time. Anything that sexually abuses or exploits children is forbidden and is reported to the authorities: see Child safety.

AI insights and coaching are made automatically from your data. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they are not professional, medical, legal or psychological advice. Use your own judgement.

Coach feedback on recordings is off until you turn it on in Settings. Recording someone without their OK is a crime in some countries, like Germany. You are responsible for following the law where you record.

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties. We may change, pause or end features, and suspend accounts that misuse the service. You can stop using it and delete your data at any time.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or incidental damages from using the app. Nothing here limits rights that the law doesn’t let us limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and don’t limit the consumer rights you have where you live, including in the EU/EEA. If any part can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
